Leinster Cross Country Juvenile B Cross Country ChampionshipsWhile Storm Bert was battering parts of the country just over a week ago, Dundalk St Gerard’s had three very brave souls who made their way to Laois to compete in the Athletics Leinster B Cross Country Championships in very tough and windy conditions. Aimee Quinn, Grace Culligan and Harry Trimble flew the flag for the Dundalk club and did so in style, with all three athletes coming away with Leinster medals.

Tara, who attends St Vincent’s Secondary School, claimed overall first place with a phenomenal score of 3809. She had to dig deep throughout the competition, in what was an incredibly tough field comprising of the best multi-event athletes from schools across Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. In addition to her overall individual gold, Tara and her three fellow countrywomen also took first place in the team event.
