It was the summer of 2021 and I was $30,000 in debt with no way out. Student loans from a master’s program that went nowhere, a car note, Best Buy credit cards, Wells Fargo credit cards and various Klarna and PayPal loans. Then my heart went out on me, and the medical bills piled up. I was broke. Dead broke.

The summer season has officially begun. I beg of you three things: Don’t forget the sunscreen, take the long way home from the beach, and please go to the movie theaters to see all the movies you want. As the kids start to stay home and school activities are put on hold for a couple of months, you (the adults) will have some free time again and I highly recommend you reconnect with your local AMC, Regal or arthouse screening room.

Regardless of your stance on Christianity, it is clear that the major leaders within the church, whether Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant, shape our culture and our world’s direction. Outside of Donald Trump, the last Pope was probably the most well-known world leader. Back in the 1970s Jim Jones, a charismatic preacher and cult leader, led a group of people to Guyana to worship him and his false teachings. It ended with authorities surrounding the compound, and Jones convincing his flock to drink Flavor Aid mixed with numerous poisons, inciting mass murder-suicide of more than 900 people. From this tragedy came the colloquial expression “they drank the Kool-Aid,” referring to people who buy into a tragic lie, leading to their destruction or demise.

Jim Ross finally cold clocked the Nature Boy

On The Mend! 💪🏻 https://t.co/B8d0yxUTk1

What a quitter.

I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.

Tom Thibodeau was fired for having a bad combover. He should sue @nyknicks for hair descending discrimination! It’s real and affects men! Not me. I have great hair. But other dudes be out in these streets with three strands and CVS comb. #newyorkknicks
