    2025 Club World Cup Paris Saint-Germain beat Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Monday night to advance to the knockout stages of the Club World Cup as winners of Group B along with Botafogo who progressed despite a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored PSG's opener in the 35th minute at Lumen Field in Seattle. And Achraf Hakimi doubled the advantage mid way through the second-half. "We didn't start the match well," said PSG boss Luis Enrique.

    European champions Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to their South American counterparts Botafogo on Thursday night at the Club World Cup. Igor Jesus scored the winner just before half-time at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The 24-year-old latched onto Jefferson Savarino's through ball, held off PSG defender Willian Pacho before sweeping a shot  past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. PSG thrashed Atletico Madrid 4-0 in their opening game at the tournament but their strikers failed to respond to the setback.

Broadcasting has lost a creative giant. Alan Yentob was always around BBC TVC, when I started in ‘95. He was like royalty. I think I might once have summoned the courage to congratulate him on his amazing Bowie doc, “The Cracked Actor”. May his memory be a blessing.
