St Pat’s 2-2 Shamrock Rovers Political powerplays behind the scenes are threatening to rock Shamrock Rovers to the core, but it was Joe Redmond who left them shell-shocked here. The Hoops thought they had won a brilliant game at the death when Lee Grace powered home a header to snatch the lead with three minutes to play. But St Pat’s skipper Redmond had other ideas and he buried one of his own in injury-time to rescue a point and deny Rovers the chance to move top of the table.

Bohemians have paid an emotional tribute to their ‘longest-serving and greatest-ever’ manager Billy Young, who has died aged 87. Young, who passed away on Thursday, spent over three decades with the Gypsies as a player and manager. He first managed Athlone Town and Shamrock Rovers but became Bohs boss for 16 years between 1973 and 1989, And he was successful during that time, winning two league titles, an FAI Cup and two League Cups.
