It reminds us that everything familiar to us, all our aspirations and problems, are confined to a tiny speck in one of trillions of star systems, nestled among hundreds of billions of galaxies.

Elon Musk is developing a vehicle that could be a game-changer for space travel. Starship, as it's known, will be a fully reusable transport system capable of carrying up to 100 people to the Red Planet. On Friday, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted a long-awaited license to Elon Musk's private spaceflight company, SpaceX, for the first orbital launch of the massive Starship rocket system. SpaceX says the first test flight is scheduled for Monday 17 April.
