What will be the impact of a reduced police presence at mental health callouts? Giles Newton-Howes: First, I acknowledge that, like in health, police have a limited resource and need to allocate that resources according to Government priorities and community need. I don’t know what all of these pressures are and so my comments are limited to what I know recognising there are alternate pressures on police.
