    Armed Forces Day, a day in which we honor those who are now serving, or that have in the past served our country. This day will be again observed this coming Saturday. It is not unusual for me to search out information about a veteran from Port Leyden who has been forgotten, or that is relatively unknown to us. Then I try to bring him or her back to our consciousness, even if only for a brief moment. This week I attempted to find someone from Port Leyden who had served in the Spanish-American War.
