    BRUCE COUNTY - Bruce County Council has endorsed priorities identified in the June 5 report on government relations policy. The report was presented by Aaron Stauch, director of government relations, on his final day with Bruce County. Said Stauch, “We try to do a policy priorities update twice a year to get in alignment with the AMO and ROMA conferences” (Association of Municipalities of Ontario and Rural Ontario Municipal Association conferences).

    BROCKTON - Brockton Council got a preview of what the new Walkerton Official Plan and Municipality-wide Zoning Bylaw will look like. At the June 10 meeting, David Welwood and Alison Bucking of J. L. Richards presented a review of the new plan and bylaw that are taking shape. The project is in the public engagement phase, which will continue over the summer and into the fall. The current Walkerton Official Plan (OP) was approved in 2009, with the most recent comprehensive review in 2017.

This has involved providing staff resources, security, waiving of rental fees and logistical support for funerals.
