To the Editor:Women represent almost half of the U.S. population. However, less than 15% of American police officers are women. Historically, policing has been a male dominated profession. However, having a balanced police force has countless benefits. Some studies suggest that women are less likely to be involved in use of force incidents or the subject of civilian complaints.

To the Editor:A huge thank-you to the many Wallingford citizens, who voted for me on November 7th, and supported my Board of Education campaign! I appreciate your vote of confidence. I will strive to achieve open communication, improvement in infrastructure, optimal student success and school safety, and advocacy for what is in our students’ best interests in relation to the high school merger. I look forward to working with my fellow Board of Ed members over the next two years.
