    PHOENIX — Police found a woman’s dead body in a north Phoenix alleyway on Sunday morning and are pursuing leads for what happened, authorities said. Officers responded to the area of 30th and Palmaire avenues around 6:30 a.m. after receiving a call that a dead body was in a “residential alleyway,” according to the Phoenix Police Department. The woman, who has not yet been unidentified and “possibly 40-50 years of age,” had signs of injuries.

    PHOENIX — A Japanese chemical company opened its first U.S. logistics facility in Arizona on Wednesday. With a $90 million investment, NRS Logios America made Casa Grande the home of a nearly 68,000-square-foot “chemical warehouse.” The chemical logistics park also includes a 9,467-square-foot “gas pad” and an “ISO tank container maintenance facility,” according to a Wednesday company press release. Plans for the massive park were first released in August 2023.

    PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was issued on Sunday afternoon for a 76-year-old man who suffers from a “form of dementia.”Ronald Holman was last seen around 8 p.m. on Saturday at his home located in Mesa at Signal Butte and Warner roads, authorities said. Holman is 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds and has white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, “black and gray camouflage shorts,” black shoes and black socks, according to authorities.

    PHOENIX — A year after being introduced, more than 250 Valley businesses are taking part in Phoenix’s civic holiday, 602 Day. The first celebration saw many different applications of the city’s 602 area code, from $6.02 deals or discounts to free merchandise if residents mentioned the new holiday. The second rendition will offer much of the same and then some, as more participate in the festivities.

    PHOENIX — High Tide Seafood Bar & Grill opened its third Valley location in Goodyear on May 19, the restaurant announced on Instagram. With its two other spots in Gilbert and Chandler, High Tide is now serving customers in the Southwest portion of the Valley. The newest addition to the High Tide fold, which offers private dining and an array of crab, oysters and mussels, was originally scheduled to open in the fall of 2024 when first announced in August 2023.
