1. IntroductionBath smelting is one of the main technologies for copper pyrometallurgical production. According to the location where the air is injected into the furnace, it is usually divided into three types: bottom-blown, side-blown, and top-blown. Side-blown smelting is the most widely adopted in modern industries because of its excellent adaptability to various materials and economic advantages, such as low construction investment, a short construction period, and low operating costs.
