FORT SMITH -- Oklahoma authorities have taken into custody a suspect wanted for questioning regarding an armed robbery and assault that occurred Wednesday in Fort Smith. Kenneth Byrd, 28, was arrested in Oklahoma, but further details were pending Thursday morning, according to Aric Mitchell, public information officer for the Fort Smith Police Department.
