French Agatois Boxing Club won a purse bid in Rome with a bid for 30,195 euro for the right to promote the fight for the vacant EBU silver middleweight title between France’s Diego Natchoo, 28-3-5, and Italy’s Dario Morello, 24-1. Morello's promoter, The Art of Fighting (TAF), bid 25,723 euros. ABC plans to stage the fight on January 31 in Agde, France. ***Rimer Boxe was the sole bidder for Gustave Tamba's mandatory defense of the EBU silver super middleweight title against Jose Luis Navarro.

Maier didn't come out for the fifth after four one-sided rounds. In an all Danish fight at cruiserweight Steffen Rorstrom,4-0, outscored Thorbjorn Boudigaard, 4-2, over six.

European super middleweight champion Kevin Lele Sadjo of France is set to take on Ghana’s Habib Ahmed on December 7 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on the undercard of the WBC welterweight eliminator between Souleymane Cissokho and Egidijus Kavaliauskas. Sadjo, born in Cameroon and 34 years old, has operated on the fringes of world class in recent years to build his record to 23-0 (21 KOs).

European heavyweight champion Oleksandr Zakhozhyi will now defend the title against Germany-based Kosovan Labinot Xhoxhaj on November 23 in Heidelberg, Germany, after Swiss veteran Arnold Grergjaj pulled out with an injury. The 19-0 (15 KOs) Zakhozyi, from Ukraine but based in Germany, won the title in April when he knocked out an overmatched Granit Shala in two rounds. Xhoxhaj, 19-0-1 (16 KOs), is 31 years old, the same as Zakhozhyi.

Cruiserweight Cristian Norges Lopez nipped Keni Aliu in a split decision after six tough, back-and-forth rounds Saturday in Espoo, Finland. In the main event of a 10-fight show billed as “Scandinavian Showdown,” Lopez (6-2, 1 KO) made a slow start but came on strong in the second round. Finland’s Aliu (6-1, 4 KOs) soaked up a beating, but he came back as his opponent seemed to tire. But Lopez, a Cuban fighting out of Poland, took his time and won the fight with a strong finish.

Danish heavyweight Kem Ljungquist (18-1) meets 43-year-old German veteran Muhammad Ali Durmaz (33-36) on November 23 in Kolding on a TK Promotions show at the Forum. Ljungquist was in his last fight knocked out by a left hook to the body by Murat Gassiev (31-2). That fight took place on October 26 in Yerevan (Armenia). Durmaz has, according to BoxRec, ended 30 of his 33 wins by knockout and has been stopped 31 times in 36 losses. So don't look for this fight to last very long.
Mikaela Lauren claims she can make history at the age of 48

Michaela Kotaskova will defend her WBF welterweight gong against ex-champ Mikaela Lauren in Vienna, Austria, on November 30. Lauren, who will turn 49 in January, claims that victory will make her the oldest champion in female boxing history. The current record holder is Alicia Ashley, who was 48 when she beat Christina McMahon in 2015 and won the WBC junior featherweight title.
IBA, an amateur commission, crown a professional 'world champion' in a WBA eliminator

Russian junior welterweight-cum-welterweight Khariton Agrba, 14-0, won something called the IBA Pro world title at welterweight at the IBA Champions Night in Samara on November 4 by beating Argentinian Gabriel Sosa (27-0) over ten. It was scored 99-91 (twice) and 98-92. The IBA pro fights are a hybrid of professional boxing and Olympic boxing but in this case the fight was also, according to some sources, billed as a WBA eliminator. Agrba is No. 14 in the latest WBA ratings at 140lbs.
