Graduate goalie Connor Hapward has been named MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-MAAC First Team, while senior defenseman Damien Blando and senior midfielder Kelly DuPree garnered First and Second Team honors, respectively.

RIVERDALE, NY — The accolades continue to roll in for MAAC Rookie of the Year Will Sydnor, who on Wednesday morning was named All-Met Third Team, per the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. Sydnor led the Jaspers in points-per-game (13.9) and blocks (33) during the 2024-2025 season. Student-athletes from Manhattan University and 20 other Division I schools in the NYC metropolitan area are eligible to receive awards from the MBWA.

Five-star prospect and USC commit Alijah Arenas was involved in a serious car crash early Thursday morning, hospitalized and placed into an induced coma, sources tell ESPN. Arenas, 18, is the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas.
