Vanishing Skies, the third full-length studio album from Brooklyn’s PEAK, sees the band honing a now-distinctive sound amid 10 tracks filled with influences ranging from 70s yacht rock and 90s jam bands. PEAK, the Brooklyn-based jam band, features guitarist Jeremy Hilliard (Turbine), Kito Bovenschulte (Particle) on drums, Josh T. Carter (Hayley Jane and The Primates) on bass, and Johnny Young on keys (Mick Taylor Band).

The Auburn Public Theater will host a series of drag shows in 2025, starting on Saturday, February 8, with “Come Celebrate the Night With Us.”A night filled with music, singing, dancing and tantalizing drag performances, as well as dazzling costumes. Despite the passing of legendary Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, The Capitol Theatre will continue a time-honored tradition in marking Lesh’s birthday with an annual concert series this March, paying tribute with some of his closest Friends. Taking place March 14, 15 and 16, and billed as Grahame Lesh & Friends, the celebration of what would have been Phil’s 85th birthday will carry on in Port Chester with an all-star cast of close friends and collaborators.

Schleigho is planning on an indefinite hiatus, with one final show planned for April 12 at iconic venue Colony in Woodstock. Schleigho (pronounced shlay-ho) is a NYC four-piece that came together while attending Boston’s Berklee School of Music in the early 1990s. Drummer Erik Egol, flutist/guitarist Suke Cerulo, jazz pianist Jesse Gibbon, and bassist Drew McCabe became entranced with jazz early on and molded a sound similar to the likes of Bela Fleck and Medeski, Martin, & Wood.

For the first time since 2003, Yonder Mountain String Band took the stage at The Egg on Friday, January 24. The jamgrass group from Colorado, now in their 27th year, is no stranger to the Capital Region, having played most recently at the Empire State Plaza, Alive at 5 and Proctors, drawing great crowds in the process.
