I've been fascinated with brands that make shirts either based on tablecloths or designs that look like they'd best be suited covering a dinner table than a man's back. In all honesty, if there was any way I could get away with wearing these kinds of shirts and nothing else I would.

Eventually after I sequestered her into a photo shoot she came round. Admitting that she was not wrong in her assumption, but that this particular polo works. I think mainly because I bought it with the idea that I need more pale blue in my collection.

The promenade is peppered with colourful flowers in concrete housing, before it angles left into an animal sanctuary where one meets the gold and blue Macaws, Red Macaws, Flamingos, turtles and even an Albino Peacock. We haggled 60 bucks for a trip to the Caribe Jewelry Factory, then to the old town then back to the port.

Located on the Pacific Coast in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Unlike all other cruises we decided not to book any excursions through Princess, instead opting to try our luck when we came into port.

Article by guest author Peter BrookerWhen you dock in the Panama cruise port, Port Fuerte Amador you'll get heckled by vendors promising you tours of the old and the historic parts of Panama City. There is nothing going on in the new town so just get an Uber ride to the Historic Quarter. Leave your fancy watches on the ship, because we felt very uneasy walking through parts of the old quarter. Especially on the way up to the infamous Coca Cola Cafe.

The Zimbabwe side is the dry side, even in rainy season (November). The Zambia side is where the Zambezi River tumbles over the valleys. You can visit Devil's Pool in the dry season, and the Angel's Pool in the wet season on the Zambia side, but I'll go into that on future posts.

It opened in September of 2024 so is very much the new kid on the block. It overlooks the Marina where you can spot numerous seals either slumped on the jetties or engaging in playful courtship rituals in the water. They have no predators here in the Marina, and October (which is Spring time in Cape Town) is mating season.

Article by guest author Peter BrookerWe boarded the river shuttle in Valletta amidst a downpour. A rare slice of reprieve from the humidity which inspired the street vendors to dance in the puddles and whistle as if it were an illegal rave. An old Russian lady boarded our boat by mistake and was threatened with police action if she didn’t disembark. Cries of ‘get off the boat’ from the unsympathetic tourists, soaked to the core despite their sun hats and ponchos. She drew quite the crowd.
