Edinburgh Rugby have confirmed that Dave Cherry and Ali Price are set to leave the club at the end of the season. The pair will take up the opportunity to play abroad when their current contracts come to an end. Hooker Cherry, a Scotland international, joined the capital side in 2018 and has amassed over 100 appearances over the last seven years. The 34-year-old reached his century milestone in front of over 40,000 fans at December’s memorable 1872 Cup victory over Glasgow Warriors at Murrayfield.

Alan Muir has been taken off VAR duties following a string of high-profile errors, STV News understands. The official was in charge of the Video Assisted Referee technology in the League Cup final in December when Rangers were wrongly denied a penalty. He was also responsible for Celtic having a goal chalked off in their 2-1 defeat to Hibernian at Easter Road in February.
