1 Introduction Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) causes paresis and sensory dysfunction in the extremities [1]. The primary pathophysiology is demyelination of peripheral nerves [2] and typical findings on electrophysiologic examination include decreased nerve conduction velocity and conduction blocks [3-5]. Secondary axonal loss may result in reduced compound motor action potentials (CMAP) [6].
