Since the election, many have wondered whether Vice President Kamala Harris’s inability to find time for Joe Rogan’s #1-rated podcast may have cost her the presidency. Her communications consigliere, Stephanie Cutter, explained the ill-fated decision to Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America” podcast. Yet, Harris did find time to go to New York to appear on a half-century-old linear TV show, "Saturday Night Live," drawing an audience of 6.6 million like-minded viewers—still 40% less than Rogan’s.

In light of the news that BMW has now overtaken Tesla in European EV sales, I'm surprised that this forum has a relative lack of conversations on the iX models (including Neue Klasse), EV charging recommendations, and the cost-benefits of BMW's electric vs. combustion engine vehicles, etc. Maybe I haven't drilled down sufficiently on Bimmerfest to uncover these threads?

#1 · If you saw my last post, I will be taking delivery in a couple of weeks of a 2025 MINI Countryman SE All4. In addition to not knowing exactly what the "slate blue" color we ordered looks like, I'm also in the dark on what the vehicle comes with charging-wise. Our MINI salesperson is also clueless. I know BMW offers a mini Wall charger with its new EVs. Does anyone know if MINI does as well? Thx,Peter

When I learned that the BMW IX2 would not be offered in the U.S., I rolled the dice and ordered the all-electric (plus-size) Mini Countryman SE All4, built at the X1 and X3 factory in Germany. The car is now in transit with delivery expected in 2-3 weeks. My continuing conundrum is this: the Slate Blue color. No dealer in the New York area has a car in its showroom in this new color, nor is there a sample to inspect.

I am poised to take delivery on my first EV, but my preferred model -- the iX2 -- is not coming to the U.S. I was advised by BMW to consider the 2025 Mini Countryman SE All4, which is built at the same BMW factory in Germany as the X1 and X3.

I recently penned a piece on NotebookLM, an AI platform now in beta at Google Labs. Toward the end, I wrote, “I’m pretty sure I’m just scratching the surface of what this cool new AI tool is capable of doing.” The PR world is ablaze with those claiming to use AI and machine learning technology in their daily workflows. I sense that most are not. (There’s considerable hyperbole in our space.)Some AI-infused resources I regularly use include Muck Rack, Grammarly, Rytr, and Otter.ai.
