By Peter BristolSaturday’s resultsWow, what a tough bunch were the 11 PGC golfers that went out last Saturday to participate in Leone Stevenson’s sponsored golf day. Huge thank you to Leone for again supporting the players and putting up a prize each year. The upside is that the course will be in brilliant condition in a few weeks’ time and Logan and Brenton will have ‘tractor seat rears’ from sitting on the machines and cutting the kike that is going to go crazy.

Bill is a living treasure and although not seen as much on the fairways these days his presence is much appreciated and his sponsorship of his yearly event is a sort after prize. The winner of the event was Tim Cowling compiling a solid 41 points.

Vets GolfJohn DwyerThe sun was shining and the scores were hot when five players posted 40 points or better at last week's twin-towns veterans golf competition played at Parkes. Leading the way was Parkes veterans president Peter Bristol who put together a well compiled 42 points for the 18 holes to finish a stroke better than Forbes' Ken Walton who survived a count-back from John Creith (Parkes) and Wauchope visitor John Keiley.
