Four weeks of commemorative hearings are set to begin at a public inquiry in Omagh to hear from those affected by the 1998 Real IRA bombing. The attack claimed the lives of 29 people, including a woman pregnant with unborn twins. It was the worst single atrocity of the Troubles in terms of its death toll. Across the first two weeks of the hearings at the Omagh Bomb Public Inquiry, each one of the 29 victims will be commemorated.

ExclusiveThe woman raped by a soldier from Londonderry says she feels safer now that her attacker Kielan Mooney has been jailed. UTV has spoken exclusively to the woman, who says she wants to be known as a survivor. Mooney, who was a soldier in the Irish Army was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison. It comes as a former Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council resigned from the SDLP after he provided a character reference for Mooney.

UTV has uncovered footage from almost 50 years ago showing a 10-year haemophiliac being injected with Factor 8 - hailed as "wonder treatment" at the time, which turned out to be very far from the actual case. Today the Prime Minister offered an "unequivocal apology" describing the infected blood scandal as something which should "shake our nation to the core". Rishi Sunak promised "comprehensive compensation" no matter the cost.

The future of a historic Portrush Station Clock is under threat after local councillors refused to buy the clock from its current owner. Barry Torrens recently moved to Italy and can no longer take care of the clock - he fears that the Victorian clock will be lost to the North Coast's rich heritage. "What I've been forced to do is put it up for sale. It was built for the people of Portrush over 130 years ago and to see it just lost would be an awful shame," Barry said.

Families say they are "shattered and disappointed" to be told they are unlikely to get an inquest into their loved ones' deaths due to a lack of resources. The families involved in ten legacy inquests were told it would be very difficult for conclusions to be reached before May 2024 when the government's legacy bill comes into force.
