The Council of the EU adopted the Listing Act package yesterday – it will be published in the Official Journal in Q4 2024. The publication by ESMA last week of its Position Paper on building more effective and attractive capital markets in the EU is the latest in a series of recent steps taken by EU authorities/groups to push for the mobilisation of further action towards an effective EU capital markets union (CMU).
