The Rochelle Lee Morris Splash Pad is now ready for the public following a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event Wednesday evening.     KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Athletes, police and community members in central Nebraska are coming together to support Special Olympics athletes. The City of Kearney took part in Monday’s annual Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is part of a statewide series of events supporting the Nebraska Special Olympics. Torch Run participants carried the Flame of Hope from the Younes Conference Center to the new Kearney SportsPlex along Talmadge Street.

    HAY SPRINGS, Neb. - A once-unruly rescue horse has galloped his way into the record books thanks to a Western Nebraska horse trainer. Megan Reimann recently set a Guinness World Record with her horse Rusty for the most tricks performed by a horse in three minutes. The duo completed 33 approved tricks in the time limit, and had to be watched live by several Guinness-approved witnesses to make sure the record was legit. "There's a whole lot of paperwork involved," said Reimann.
