An annual economic impact study to be released on Thursday reveals the race generated its biggest contribution to the Victorian and Australian economies last year. In an exclusive interview with the Herald Sun, Mr Tiley said the game’s powerbrokers needed to shake its traditions and format to ensure the sport and major events like the Australian Open stayed attractive. “I absolutely think it has to evolve and I absolutely think the game needs to change,” he said.
