Derbyshire police say they are becoming increasingly concerned about a teenage girl who is missing from home. Imogen, who is 15 years old, was last seen leaving her home in Chapel-en-le-Frith on Thursday 29 May. Imogen was wearing black leggings, a beige River Island coat, and white trainers when last seen. She is 5ft 8ins tall and is of slim build, with long brown hair. She has links to Buxton, Whaley Bridge, and Cleveland.

Derbyshire police have issued an appeal for information after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an attackPolice were called to Ilkeston Market Place following a serious assault in the early hours of this morning. A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. A police spokesperson said that officers will remain in the area for some time and that the market had been cordoned off which may cause disruption to pedestrians.

The RSPCA is calling on the public to help save animals’ lives by putting away their back garden football nets after use – after new figures reveal hundreds of animals are being tangled up in netting, including several in Derbyshire. The charity received 1,355 reports in 2024 of animals getting entangled in all types of netting, with almost half of them (586) in the peak months of May, June and July.
