    Cat N car meaningFormerly known as Cat D, a Cat N car means that it hasn't suffered any structural damage and could even be legally drivable. This is the lowest class of insurance write-off and therefore the most likely to be fixed, put back on the road and sold. Category N damage is non-structural.
