Buss is the president of the Los Angeles Lakers, and her life is parodied in the new Netflix comedy Running Point, starring Kate Hudson. Before his death in 2013, Jeanie's father, Jerry Buss, owned the Lakers. "I was 17, 18 years old, just doing whatever my dad asked me to," Jeanie Buss told Morning Edition host A Martínez.

The last time I was stunned by a pilot was “Orphan Black.” The way the plot revealed itself, the economy of writing, and of course Tatiana Maslany’s performance. I was hooked.
