Le Mans Ultimate is the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship, and includes cars and tracks from the series. Released in early access on Steam in February 2024, it has received major updates via downloadable content packs since then, now with the new fifth pack.

    Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande took victory for Acura and Meyer Shank Racing at Detroit in the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic, from the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac and #6 Porsche Penske car. Yelloly started the car from pole, but it wasn’t a simple victory, with the car slipping as low as fourth at one point. Yelloly retained the lead from his teammate, Tom Blomqvist in the sister #60 Acura ARX-06, at the start of the race.

    Acura’s Nick Yelloly took pole for the IMSA Chevrolet Sports Car Classic in Detroit, with the Briton in the #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing ARX-06 setting a 1:05.762. In fact, it was a 1-2 for Acura, with Yelloly’s teammate Tom Blomqvist in the #60 machine second, 0.146 behind. Third was Sheldon van der Linde in the #25 BMW M Team RLL M Hybrid V8, three tenths off Yelloly.

    Wayne Taylor, owner of Wayne Taylor Racing, has raised the possibility of his team racing in both the IMSA Sportscar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship simultaneously next year. On an IMSA-hosted media Zoom call ahead of the next round of the IMSA championship, which Taylor was on, he told media about the possibility of a dual European-American campaign. He appeared on the call with his sons, Ricky Taylor and Jordan Taylor, who both race for the team.

    Toyota has unveiled a retro GT-One-inspred livery for Le Mans, celebrating 40 years of the manufacturer competing in the French endurance classic. The livery, which will be used on the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, is inspired by the livery used on the Toyota GT-One, raced at Le Mans in 1998 in the GT1 class. It almost won the race, too, if the #29 car’s gearbox had not failed late on. The #7 car will be driven by Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Nyck de Vries at this year’s event.
