He won’t have to worry about Scottie Scheffler, which is unlikely to come as a disappointment as the American has won won three of his last four tournaments. McIlroy skipped the Memorial, which didn’t please tournament host Jack Nicklaus, who claimed to be “surprised” at the decision.
