To no one’s surprise, a few people remained who wished for a world without weed. Conservative Christians, of course. Which surprised no one. Alcohol industry executives. No surprise there either, since weed sales cut into theirs.

Don’t criticize that which you’ve never experienced420 weekEVEN AFTER CONGRESS LEGALIZED WEED, problems with implementation remained. Could weed products be prepared and consumed in restaurants? Would municipalities permit public weed smoking areas? Would they even allow public weed smoking? Should producers include ingredients and nutrition information with pastries and candies? How about advertising weed and weed products on network and streaming television?

Not opposition to legalized weed (which they were), or even a holiday celebrating weed (which they were also), but that Americans would celebrate Happy High Day on Easter Sunday. Nor did it matter to them that the official holiday would be Monday, or that Happy High Day wouldn’t fall on Easter again until 2087.
