With less than a potentially year away from Dave Tipper retiring I have made it a priority to try to see as many of his sets left that he’s willing to give us. As I stood there during the ambient set on the final night of Tipper’s Huntsville Alabama Labor Day 3 night run it really did hit me that this may truly be the best time to be a Bass music fan than ever before. A true Golden Age if you will.

This Saturday Atlanta is in for a night of bass music bliss as Thought Process returns this time to Terminal West. This time he’s bringing along his all:Lo friend Pheel., bass music heavy hitter Schmoop, and Atlanta based producer Mindwipe. The all:Lo crew has been hard at work with shows all over the place this year in the US including most recently a sold out show at Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece.

Dear Squeaky Feet,My name is Phillip Watson, I’m 33, 3 Kids, and I’ve been in love with jam band/improvisational music since I was 13. I’ve seen thousands of shows in the scene and I have probably listened to upward of 10s of thousands of recordings of everything from The OGs like The Dead and Phish, to the newbies and younger bands of today like yourselves. I consider Lotus, The Disco Biscuits, Papadosio, Spafford, and Phish as my favorite bands in the scene.

Our Final Day of Jam Cruise was a full day at sea with music all day. We got our 6ish hours of sleep, hit the buffet for breakfast, and got on our way. The day musically started at Lebo’s Yacht Rock on the pool deck. A Jam Cruise staple, and always a favorite, Lebo and his crew took us through Yacht Rock covers that had us all feeling like a Yacht Ship Captain.

From there we made our way to the Pantheon Theater for the 2nd round of Franc Moody. This time the crowd was PACKED and the band fed off that energy. It was the same setlist as the pool deck stage but still delivered a fun show. 1:45am rolled around and we had our last official show of the night The Purple Party! We danced the night away to the music of Prince with a star studded band.
