Shares in the manufacturer of assembly equipment for the chip industry rose 7.7% to 92.56 euros after having traded as much as over 9% higher earlier in the session Tuesday. The rise comes after Applied Materials late Monday said that it made a strategic long-term investment, buying a 9% stake in the company.

    By Pierre Bertrand Danish transport and logistics company DSV AS said that it has met all regulatory conditions for its planned $12 billion acquisition of DB Schenker. The closing of the acquisition of the global freight forwarding and contract logistics business is now expected to take place on April 30, the company said. Due to the expected completion of the Schenker acquisition, the publication of DSV's first-quarter results will be pushed back a day to April 30, it added.
