On Saturday November 30th 2024, Dragonmeet, the indie tabletop gaming spectacular will return to the Novotel in Hammersmith London. This convention is a highlight tabletop event for many in the UK (and beyond) with its plethora of events, shows and exhibitors, as well as its warm, inclusive atmosphere. Usually Dragonmeet takes place over a single day and there is so much to experience in that time.

Space:1999 is the upcoming Tabletop Roleplaying Game from Modiphius Entertainment based on the Gerry Anderson TV show of the same name. The game casts you as members of the Moonbase Alpha during the events of the series. For the uninitiated, Space: 1999 is a science fiction series made in the mid-1970s that imagined what space travel would be like at the end of the 20th Century.

This year’s Tabletop Scotland recently concluded after 3 days of gaming, exhibitors and events. This was the first time at their new venue, the Royal Highland Centre just outside of Edinburgh. In a previous article, I spoke with Convention Director, David Wright, about the opportunities and challenges of using this space.
