The most specified type of normative commitment is case-based judgements: considered conclusions reached through the evaluation of information relevant to a specific context or case. The framework classifies case-based judgements into two forms: evidential and ethical. Evidential judgements are case-based judgements about what one ought to believe about the world, given the information that is available.
