Alumni Associations have been charged to take their rightful place and play their roles in ensuring the university education is improved upon in Nigeria. The Chairman, Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti, EKSU Alumni Association, Ekiti State chapter, Adetunji Aribasoye gave this admonition at the alumni 2025 Annual Alumni Lecture and Awards Program said such will enhance the growth of the institution as government alone cannot do it .

The Senate spokesman, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has clarified that the ratification of the State of Emergency Declaration in Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu followed due process at the Red Chamber. Speaking with newsmen in his country home, Ilawe-Ekiti on weekend ,Adaramodu who represents Ekiti South Senatorial District explained that the ratification enjoyed huge endorsement from members ,as all the legislators present voted in support of the emergency rule .

Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has launched a comprehensive initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth. Senator Bamidele who represents Ekiti Central Senatorial District at the 2025 edition of his empowerment initiative distributed a wide range of items to the beneficiaries The programme, which was initially scheduled for December 2024, saw 2,900 beneficiaries receive a grant of ₦100,000 each.The grant were paid directly into the beneficiaries accounts.
