A decade ago, I was very insecure and unhappy. I was constantly anxious, annoyed at small disturbances, not empathetic enough to people around me, self-centered, and took myself too. At one point, I was so self-centered that I was blind to my close friend's pain. When my friend failed a semester exam, she called me to share the pain. But, I did not listen to her or empathize with what she was going through. Overwhelmed by my own anxiety, I started discussing how I would study for the next semester.
