    RAUTAHAT, JANUARY 20An Indian national was arrested with a semi-automatic pistol and bullets from the Nepal-India border area in Latamari, of Ishnath Municipality-4, Rautahat on Sunday night. Acting on a tip-off about three suspicious individuals at Sunil Hotel in latamari, a team from APF (FOB), Mathia reached the spot at around 8:30 pm on Sunday. While two suspects managed to flee, the team successfully apprehended one person carrying a weapon, the APF No. 11 Battalion, Rautahat, confirmed.

    RAUTAHAT, SEPTEMBER 29Three people have lost their lives in Rautahat district due to drowning and electrocution during ongoing floods. According to the District Police Office, 14-year-old Asha Kumari Sah from Narkatiya in Paroha Municipality drowned in floodwaters while cutting grass. In another incident, Rajkaran Mukhiya, a 40-year-old from Ward No. 4, Durga Bhagwati Rural Municipality, died, as informed by Ward Chairperson Ramanand Yadav.

    RAUTAHAT, JULY 12Two individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries after the car they were traveling in skidded off the road in Gadhimai Municipality of Rautahat district on Friday morning. The car was carrying participants of a marriage procession (janti) from Rautahat towards Sarlahi. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:00 AM when a Scorpio car with Indian registration number HR 70 D 8382 lost control and veered into a canal.
