CBS News anchor Jeff Glor is one of nearly 2,000 employees affected by widespread layoffs at Paramount Global, according to a report from Puck’s Dylan Byers. Glor serves as a special correspondent for CBS News and also anchors CBS Saturday Morning for the network. He previously served as the anchor for CBS Evening News from 2017 to 2019, replacing Scott Pelley before Norah O’Donnell began hosting the nightly newscast.

Angel City Football Club’s ownership group is reportedly close to a new look as Disney CEO Bob Iger and wife Willow Bay are close to purchasing control of the club. The news was first reported by Puck’s Dylan Byers and Semafor. Iger and Bay, the dean of the USC Annenberg School, were in attendance at Angel City FC’s 3-0 loss to the Orlando Pride on Sunday and were shown on the video screen. According to Semafor, Angel City’s current valuation is an NWSL record $250 million.

Three months after officially joining CNN, chief executive officer Mark Thompson will soon be laying out a fresh strategy for the troubled news operation.
