1 INTRODUCTION Inspired by the perishable inventory system and crossing networks trading system, we develop a double-sided queueing model with batch Markovian arrivals and customer abandonment, and derive its queueing quantities. In the trading system, for example, orders of impatient customers (i.e., buyers and sellers) are matched with counterparts in a first-come-first-matched discipline by the system.
