Oxygen vacancy in Bi2WO6 enables a robust nitrate reduction reaction catalysis The Faradaic efficiency is 62.0% at -0.3 V vs. RHE for Bi2WO6, boosted by 1.4- and 1.8-time with relative to Bi2O3 and WO3 in nitrate reduction reaction. In addition, the catalysis occurs on Bi2WO6 following the pathway: *NO3–*NO2–*NO–*NOH–*HNOH–*H2NOH–*NH3, verified by operando Raman spectroscopy associated with theoretical calculation.
