The Source, Property, Extraction, Biosynthesis, Pharmacology, and Application of Lycopene Lycopene is an important pigment with alkene skeleton from Lycopersicon esculentum, which is also obtained from some red fruits and vegetables. Lycopene is not only used in food field with rich functions, but also served in medical field with multiple clinical values because it has duplicato-functions of both medicine and food.
