To gain a deeper understanding of the biological processes that govern nuptial pad development, we then further compared the gene expression differences between different tissues to explore the essential genetic expression differences between nuptial pads and hind toe skin. This comparison allowed us to identify DEGs by contrasting the gene expression profiles of two skin tissues from the same sex and developmental stages.
