1. IntroductionThe Chinese solar greenhouse (hereafter referred to as ‘solar greenhouse’) is widely used for vegetable production in northern China with little or no additional heating during the winter months [1,2]. It plays a crucial role in ensuring a consistent vegetable supply throughout this critical period [3,4,5,6,7]. Moreover, heavy snowfall is a major cause of structural damage and failure in solar greenhouse frames [8,9].
