When a lead guitarist from a world-class rock and roll group says that all of the good guitar playing is coming from a genre outside his own, we should probably listen. Chris Shiflett has been the lead guitarist of the Foo Fighters since 1999. He joined the band just prior to the release of the group’s third album (There Is Nothing Left To Lose), and he’s been with them ever since.

It pays to look like Morgan Wallen. I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of these look-alike contests that have been popping up more and more. The first one I ever saw was a Timothee Chalamet look alike contest, and the most recent one that’s popped up on my feed leaned more towards country music. There was a Morgan Wallen Look-Alike contest on the University of Tennessee’s campus. Now to be clear, it doesn’t look like this was an event sanctioned by UT.

The Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson-UNC saga continues to unravel. At first, the story was just quirky and a tad bit strange. We were told that a 73-year-old Belichick and a 24-year-old Hudson had randomly and serendipitously met on a flight and had hit it off. That connection then allegedly led to a dating relationship, which then led to Hudson being entrenched in nearly every aspect of Bill’s life. Now, it’s seeming as though more and more of their “meet cute” story might be fabricated.

Tragedy has struck Nashville, Tennessee. Not really… unless you happen to be a Taylor Swift super fan (A.K.A. a Swiftie). What actually took place, you might be wondering? A plaque dedicated to the “Cruel Summer” singer was apparently stolen right off of a bench in Nashville’s Centennial Park. The plaque, which reads “For Taylor Swift: A bench for you to read on at Centennial Park. Welcome home, Nashville,” was originally dedicated to the pop superstar in May of 2023.
