Quinnipiac University’s Office of Community Engagement and Quinnipiac Political Science Association hosted a Presidential debate watch party for students on Sept. 10. The event was organized to give students a way to watch the debate and discuss it afterward in a respectful manner. Julianna Mazella, president of QPSA, welcomed students by asking them questions to consider before the event started to help students with the thought process when it comes to choosing a candidate they prefer.

Fourth Wall Theater put on its first performance of English murder mystery comedy “Murder by Membership Only” on March 21. The play, directed by junior film, television and media major Alyssa Drumm, features an exclusive murder mystery writers club for women in London called the Orczy Club. But when the team’s most prolific writer suddenly dies, the women need to solve a whodunit of their own.

Quinnipiac University’s Student Programming Board hosted its second-annual Mario Kart Wii tournament on Feb. 10, with students competing for prizes in the Mt. Carmel Auditorium. The day included many festivities for the students, including coloring, racing remote control cars and, of course, playing lots of Mario Kart Wii. Every student who wanted to participate received a ticket and a number.

The Quinnipiac Student Programming Board hosted a Cookies, Crafts and Coasters event on Sept. 23. The event, which took place in the Carl Hansen Student Center cafeteria, featured cookies that were available for both eating and decorating. The craft of the night was diamond-by-coloring coasters. Attendees could try their luck in a raffle, with plushes and blankets as prizes.
