When parents say they don't have a favourite child- they could be lying. New research from Brigham Young University shows parents prefer their daughters to their sons. The findings come from an in-depth analysis of 30 studies on parental favouritism. Both mams and dads slightly prefer their daughters to their sons, with the research suggesting girls might be easier to parent. Children who were conscientious or agreeable were also more likely to be their parents' favourites.

The show was not actually filmed inside, as they only used the apartment for exterior shots. Man (40s) dies in Wexford collision

A man in his 40s has died in a road traffic collision in County Wexford. The collision occurred between a motorcycle and a car on the R742 at Johnstown at around 9:20 am this morning. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in her 60s, the driver of the second vehicle, was taken to Wexford General Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. No other injuries were reported.

That's down from 110 pre-pandemic in 2019. The research found Dublin was the county with the most nightclubs at 23, followed by Limerick with eight, and Donegal with six. In the South East, Waterford has the most nightclubs with three, with one nightclub each in Wexford, Carlow and Tipperary.
