A lane of Route 222 is shut down for emergency repairs in Lancaster County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The left lane of Route 222 southbound is expected to be closed until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday so that a repair can be made on the pavement approaching the bridge.The bridge is over Route 772 at the Brownstown/Rothsville exit. Firefighters rescued four pets from a Dauphin County house fire, according to the Linglestown Fire Company. Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8 Today.Fire crews initially responded to a home on St. Andrews Way in Lower Paxton Township on Monday night for a fire alarm. The alarm company notified crews that the house was on fire, and the incident was upgraded for additional assistance, the fire company said. Arriving crews found a two-story home with smoke and fire showing.

One person was injured after a two-vehicle crash in York County on Tuesday, according to emergency dispatch. Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8 Today.Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Blymire Road and Pleasant Avenue in York Township at 10:02 a.m.Dispatch said one person was injured after being trapped inside one of the vehicles. The extent of their injuries is unknown.The area of Blymire Road and Pleasant Avenue is shut down. Fire police were called to the scene to direct traffic.
