Featured artists ship us paintings for the “Strokes of AITS” exhibit that will hang in Southlake town hall until AITS opens in April. Our jury is made up of seven artists.

Boomerang Boutique, located on Park Place near the hospital district, is the antithesis of your run-of-the-mill antique store. This was all part of owners Misty and Jonathan Berumen’s plan. The retailer specializes in midcentury modern furniture and decor with splashes of art deco thrown in for good measure. There are even select clothing finds—hello 1970s faux fur trimmed coat—from eras gone by.

Saddlerock Wine + Beer is nestled atop a hill on the banks of the Trinity River in a beautifully restored, Victorian-style, historic Fort Worth home. The winery opened in May 2024. Situated off of Samuels Avenue between downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards, post oak trees dot the walkway leading up to the home evoking a feeling of calm that you normally don’t feel in the bustling city. Instead, you feel like you’re on a leisurely vacation in wine country.

If you’ve been on social media in the past six months, you have probably seen countless videos or posts of people trying to figure out their color season. The viral phenomenon is not new by any means. Color analysis gained mainstream recognition in the 1970s. The thought process behind the trend is to create a dream wardrobe with only the best colors for a person’s individual coloring. Personally, I have been trying to crack the code of what my most flattering colors are for most of my adult life.

Christi Braswell founded Wild Silks because of a need. She became a client of David L. Hunt when she inherited two furs from her grandmother and great-grandmother and brought them in to be relined. “But I didn’t like any of the lining options,” Braswell says. Noticing this hole in the market, Braswell began to dream up silk linings with a bit more personality. “Fashion, to me, is about what makes you feel your best,” Braswell says, emphasizing the importance of quiet luxury and individuality.
