On her way back, with the tray of books on the passenger seat beside her, she over-corrects on a familiar corner near the bottom of Mt Albert Road. Belinda is driving within the speed limit. It’s a course she’s navigated safely many times before. The month is June, and the weather is uncommonly mild. Driving conditions are not a factor.
