Dunbar Borough Council is continuing to work on taking care of a rat issue near Church Street in the borough. The Dunbar and Connellsville areas were hit with a lot of rain very quickly Tuesday evening causing just a few issues, but nothing major. The Connellsville Canteen recently played host to Clare Drobot who was invited to the venue to talk about her grandparents’ journey as Holocaust survivors. Drobot, a Pittsburgh-based playwright and co-artistic director of City Theatre, found out later in life that her grandparents were Holocaust survivors and because they didn’t talk about their experiences she has spent countless hours researching their history and their experience.

While the annual Dunbar Community Fest was in jeopardy of folding last week, organizers confirmed it will be held this September.
